    • You are guaranteed a minimum of R5,000 if your device passes the basic functional guardrails.
    • Depending on the cosmetic condition, you could receive up to R8,500 for a "Near-new" device.
  • What are the minimum requirements for the R5000 guarantee?
    • The device must power on without being connected to a charger.
    • It must boot successfully to the macOS login screen or desktop.
    • The screen must be intact with no cracks, display failure, or malfunctioning pixels.
    • Find My Mac must be disabled and the device must not be Activation Locked.
  • Does battery health affect my Mac's value?
    • As long as the battery charges and holds power long enough for the in-store diagnostic, it passes the minimum requirement.
    • However, a "healthy" battery is a requirement to reach the higher "BEST" valuation tier of R8,500
  • What if my Mac has scratches or small dents?
    • Light surface scratches and minor scuffs on the casing are acceptable.
    • Small dents (less than 5mm) on the corner or edge are also accepted as long as they don't warp the chassis or prevent the lid from closing flush.
